Venom: The Last Dance is the final installment of the Venom movie, which revolves around Tom Hardy playing Eddie Brock and Venom. Its prequel was Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021). It is marked as the fifth addition in the Sony Spider-Man Universe, directed and written by Kelly Marcel.
This trilogy thrillingly presents Venom. This franchise is demonstrating the alien symbiote’s latest challenges and transformations, as well as a world that is full of danger and new adversaries.
Hardy is a Sparkling Figure in the Venom Trilogy.
The movie depicts the dynamic of two figures named Eddie and Venom. It is a road trip storyline about which Hardy said it will be his last outing as Venom. It seems parallel to Deadpool & Wolverine, featuring two-hander Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. But in this trilogy, Hardy is holding both crotchety men in Eddie. The symbiote that he hosted was manic and deranged but good-hearted at the end.
In comparison to Venom and other Marvel characters in the comics, the last dance is depicted as the capstone of this trilogy. It has been confirmed by Tom Hardy and Kelly Marcel, the writer-director of the trilogy, that this character is included in Sony’s three Venom movies.
Venom: The Last Dance is a promising installment.
As it is the final and promised installment of Venom, it wrapped up the trilogy with humor and great action. The previous two movies have paved the way for the story, so this one immediately starts with the story exhibiting a strong bond between Venom and Brock. Now this movie is showing their completed partnership and embracing their characters as an anti-hero team.
The storyline of Venom: The Last Dance depicted that Eddie and Venom were drunk in a Mexican bar when they were transferred to Earth-616 by the spell of Doctor Strange. Now, the Mexican bartender forcefully returned them to Earth-688. They battled with Carnage. Eddie became the focus point as a prime suspect, so he set out for New York to clear his name.
In this series, Xenophage, a creature, chased Eddie and Venom. After these situations, Rex Strickland tried to capture and make symbiotes his study units, who are on Earth.
As the story proceeds, Eddie and Venom are attacked by Xenophage over the aeroplane for New York City and land in the Nevada desert. Venom told Eddie about Knull, who unveiled Xenophages to bring a Codex, but right now, it was in the custody of Eddie and Venom. It may tear down if Eddie or Venom dies. After escaping from Strickland, his team and Xenophage Eddie met Martin Moon and his family, who offered him a free ride towards Las Vegas.
Venom’s Last Dance with Mrs. Chen
Venom: The Last Dance showed that when Eddie and Venom reached Las Vegas, they met Mrs. Chen at a casino. Mrs. Chen and Venom danced together. Moreover, Strickland’s team separated Venom and Eddie and shifted them to Area 51, where Eddie and Mulligan reunited. Venom is freed and re-bonded with Eddie, and Mulligan died.
When Xenophage signalled Knull after finding the Codex, Venom released his other confined symbiotes. These symbiotes attached to different hosts to fight against Xenophage. On the other side, more Xenophages were transferring to Earth to compete with symbiotes by Knull through portals. Venom and Xenophages set out to die to save the planet after saying goodbye to Eddie. Strickland was ready for destruction. Teddy united with a symbiote with the purpose of saving Sadie from the explosion. Meanwhile, the base was burning, and Eddie fell unconscious.
Eddie Felt Alone Without Venom
When Venom: The Last Dance proceeds, Eddie finds himself in a hospital. There, he was informed by a military officer that he had earned an expungement after the event that happened at Area 51 and caused the transgression of a secret. Eddie remembered Venom in New York City while passing by the Statue of Liberty. Knull declared Earth unsafe for him.

Release Date of Venom: The Last Dance
The filming of the movie stopped in mid-July 2023 due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. After this month, it was declared that the film will release on July 12, 2024. The strike was prolonged till November 2023, so it delayed the release date of the movie till November 2024. Clark Backo also joined the film when film production started again for an undisclosed role in February 2024. Temple shared at the end of February that filming is almost complete.
When production was completed, the film was given the title Venom: The Last Dance. Its release date was finalized on October 25, 2024. The film’s first teaser trailer was released in June, confirming the previous and new cast.
The movie premiered on October 21, 2024, in the U.S. for the first time. Later, it would release on October 25, 2024, nationwide.
Original Venom gave higher results.
The movie reported $124 million internationally, which was a good start, and it balanced the diminishing domestic debut of the comic book. This third part of Sony’s Marvel series recorded $51 million in North America for a $175 million global start. The ticket sales of this Hollywood movie ranked as the third largest opening of 2024 after Inside Out 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine by Disney.
This spinoff series’ price tag is $120 million, inclusive of astronomical promotion. While the first Venom and Let There Be Carnage recorded $856 million and $500 million, respectively, at the global level. So the third Venom needs to justify its production budget to its international audience.
Venom: The Last Dance is being played in almost 64 markets on 53,700 screens. But it scored the biggest start in China with $46 million in five days. It was a great start for such a superhero movie in this country after Spider-Man: Far From Home. Some other countries with great revenue include Mexico, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and India, scoring $7.3 million, $5.8 million, $5.7 million, and $4.7 million, respectively.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment started the digital download service on 10 December 2024, while on January 21, 2025, it was on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K UHD. Deals were signed with Netflix and Disney by Sony for their 2022 to 2026 film slate rights, following the film’s theatrical and home media windows. Netflix has signed exclusive streaming rights, a “pay 1 window” that is usually an 18-month window. Disney signed for “pay 2 window,” so the movie can be seen on Disney+, Hulu, and also on Disney’s linear television networks.
Venom: The Last Dance has emotional and funny aspects.
This movie showed an emotionally charged narrative. Eddie and Venom faced Knull and the Xenophages as their enemy. The climactic scenes of the movie were powerful, as depicted in the sacrifice scene of Venom to save Eddie. This scene showed the selflessness that gave more strength to the Venom character.
It also has a strong comic side that can be seen in the interaction between Eddie and Venom.
Their interaction is funnier and more polished than in the previous two movies. The Last Dance is the best piece of the Venom series, as it has a beautifully defined story, well-executed character dynamics, and a heart-touching ending.
Fans would not have something new in this franchise of Venom: The Last Dance, as it has the same multiverse cameos or showcasing of a particular wall-crawler. Regarding it, Venom expressed his feeling in these words: that he is so done with multiverse shit. It is demonstrating that Marcel and Hardy focused on Eddie, Venom, and the universe of the franchise they have built.
